The Team

Gayle Russell McCauley Gayle’s passion of Pilates stems from her love of the Sciences. She received her undergraduate degree in Pre-Med from CSUN in 2000. She continued her Graduate level education at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She became a Yoga teacher. Then, there was Pilates! It was an instant love and passion. It made sense. She is certified in three comprehensive programs. She recently had the pleasure of training under Rael Isacowitz of Body Arts Science International (BASI) in his Comprehensive Program and participates in his Mentor Program. Gayle is grateful to Joseph H. Pilates for being a genius and creating this amazing work that she enjoys and shares in day after day. She believes Pilates is an empowering, life changing and inspirational experience.

She received her classical, New York-style certification through Master teacher, Jill Cassidy. She continues the pick up other Pilates styles and applies what she has learned to fit individuals needs. She says, “All you need to begin is an open mind, focus and a great attitude and I guarantee you will fall in love with Pilates, just like I did!”

Laura Robbins “Snap” it felt like her back broke in half while rock-climbing. Two low herniated discs drove Laura to Pilates. Trained in the classical New York Style and the long road of personal rehabilitation with Pilates, Ms. Robbins has a heart for both injured and strong clients.

Ashley Ruetenik Ashley became interested in Pilates after watching her Mom do Pilates for over 15 years! She saw what amazing things it did for her body. She studied and worked as a physical therapy assistant at Core Conditioning while she became a certified instructor. She began taking Pilates at Hardcore Pilates with her best friend Gayle Russell. Within a couple months her knee pain and back pain completely went away. The extra bonus was her severe asthma completely subsided and of course the change in her body. She became leaner and defined. She fell in love with Pilates and became an instructor herself. Badre Bekir Badre has an unusual background of not having a love of sports or fitness at a young age. It was dance, however, that brought on the challenge og the mind-body connection without the ruthless competition of peers. This love of movement drove her to Pilates which she has practiced and used for cross training for over ten years and was recently certified to teach. By embracing each movement with complete awareness and mindfulness makes Pilates a not so easy yet rewarding workout.
